URDF Visualizer
Upload a URDF (with its mesh files, or as a .zip) or link a description package on GitHub, see it rendered in 3D, expand the TF tree, drive every joint with a slider, and get flagged on common issues β like links missing an <inertial> tag, which will break MoveIt Setup Assistant. Everything runs locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.
How to use the URDF Visualizer
- 1Paste a link to any public robot on GitHub (a repo, a folder or a single .urdf file), for example github.com/justagist/franka_panda_description, and tap Load. The URDF and its meshes load straight into your browser.
- 2If the repo holds several robots, pick the one you want from the list.
- 3Drag to rotate and scroll to zoom the 3D view.
- 4Move the joint sliders to drive each joint and check its limits.
- 5Open the TF tree to see how every link and frame connects.
- 6Read the Suggestions: problems like missing inertia or collision geometry that would break MoveIt or Gazebo.
- 7No GitHub link? Bring your own files: upload a URDF with its meshes (or a .zip), paste the XML, or tap βTry a sample robotβ.
Drag & drop a URDF folder, files, or a .zip here
Include the .urdf (or .xacro) file together with its mesh files (.stl / .dae / .obj) so geometry resolves correctly.
